Our mission at Driver 1, is to provide pre-loved and cherished cars of between 4 and 5 years old, to young and new drivers, making the freedom of car use attainable at a cost effective monthly price.
Driver 1 is a new kind of online store that provides cars for young drivers on flexible monthly plans. Think ""Amazon for cars"" - where you can order your first car online and have it delivered to your door within 48 hours.*
We offer an inclusive hassle-free package including warranty, breakdown cover, MOT and Road Tax included on all cars we provide, and an optional service maintenance plan for that extra peace of mind, all payable by a simple monthly payment. *Home delivery is available on selected cars within 48 hours and others within 7 days.
Monthly plans range from 12 to 48 months, and are provided on a personal contract purchase (PCP) agreement through our finance provider partners. By choosing PCP for your car not only do you obtain the lowest possible monthly payment rate but you also have ultimate flexibility at the end of the agreed term.
You can choose if you want to simply hand the car back with no obligation to pay the optional final payment (stated on the PCP agreement), or upgrade to your next car by using any retained value in the car towards a deposit on your next car, or as a third option you may wish to keep the car and pay the optional final payment either by cash or a new finance arrangement which we can help you with at competitive rates.

We""ve built Driver 1 for young drivers and to give you the peace of mind from a safety point of view that you""re not driving an old car which is liable to breakdown, or spend more time (and money) in the garage being repaired.
Our mission at Driver 1 is safer, newer cars for young and new drivers at an affordable monthly cost, all available on our website which offers a one stop shop for sourcing a car, arranging a monthly plan and cost-effective Insurance (via our partners).
All our cars come with 12 months warranty cover through are partner WarrantyWise, for your complete peace of mind, for the first 12 months. We recommend that you renew this after 12 months (directly with WarrantyWise). Through the Warranty partnership, you have breakdown cover included within your policy, but please note this will also expire at the end of 12 months, alongside the Warranty.

Terms and Conditions
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully as by using this website, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. You are deemed to have read and understood these terms and conditions, these conditions will be binding on all customers of Driver1.co and all users of Driver1.co website.
All our cars are 4 to 5 years old and as such are never going to be completely perfect.
These are pre-loved and used cars and supplied at a cost effective market price for our customers. All cars supplied come with at least six months MOT.
All cars go through an HPI check, a Driver1 inspection and quality control procedure which includes a 123-point AA or RAC-verified inspection.
Used cars are never going to be completely perfect. Please be aware that cars may have the odd cosmetic minor blemish, such as a stone chip(s), minor scratch or scuff.
Before delivery to the customer all vehicles will have been inspected on behalf of Driver 1.
Driver1 offers nationwide delivery with any car. With us, there""s no long days spent dragging yourself around used car dealerships. We""ll deliver your Driver1 car directly to your door, wherever you are in the UK. What\'s more, if you live in England or Wales home delivery is free. Outside of these areas an additional fee for delivery will be quoted depending on postcode.
On the day of delivery our driver will show you around your car and familiarise you with the controls as necessary. Then a quick signature is needed before they""ll hand over the keys and be on their way.
V5 REGISTRATION DOCUMENT
As part of the ""New Keeper"" transfer documents, Driver 1 have handled all the administration of the V5 Registration Document. You should allow up to 4 weeks to receive the V5 Registration Document, in your name, directly from DVLA Swansea. If you don""t receive this within 4 weeks (after taking delivery of your car), please notify Driver 1.
Driver 1 will tax your vehicle for you (for a minimum of 6 months, and in many cases for 12 months), as part of the DVLA ""New Keeper"" administration. You should automatically receive a Road Tax reminder from DVLA, when next due, but you cannot always rely on this and it is your responsibility to ensure your car is taxed and legal at all-times. WARRANTY & BREAKDOWN COVER
Driver 1 has partnered with Warrantywise to provide 12 months extended warranty cover with every used car, and for your complete peace of mind this also includes 12 months breakdown cover.
The Platinum Plus policy either begins immediately, or at the end of any remaining new car warranty, and is the most comprehensive level of cover offered by Warrantywise.
All mechanical and electrical parts are included, as well as additional items including the airbag system, air conditioning, multi-media systems and labour rates of up to £200 an hour. MOT failures are also covered and betterment is not used. A full list of exclusions, terms and conditions is in the policy booklet, which you can request.
When you order a car through Driver1 there""s no being left hanging in the hard shoulder. Breakdown cover for a full year is included in the Warrantywise extended warranty, giving you 24/7 access to the UK""s largest nationwide fleet of recovery vehicles.

14 DAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE
All vehicles come with a 14 day money back guarantee. When you order a used car, especially online, you""re going to want some time to be sure it""s running perfectly. With us, you get 14 days to test drive your new set of wheels. Not happy? Return it to us anytime during this period and we""ll happily refund you. Subject to our terms and conditions below section 6.1.
2.1 "Driver 1", "Driver 1.co.uk", "Us", refers to Driver 1 ("Driver1 Ltd."), 20-22 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU
2.2 "The Customer", "You", The person agreeing to purchase or lease a vehicle through the Driver 1 Website
2.3. "Goods" means all vehicles as defined, or other things to be sold by the Dealer to the Customer.
2.4 "Vehicle" includes any car, lorry, van, trailer, caravan, invalid carriage, motorcycle and generally each and every accessory to and component thereof.
3. General Use
3.1 Registration and Amendments
By using Driver 1""s services in any way, including but not limited to visiting or browsing our Driver 1.co website and/or registering for its use, you agree that you have fully read and accepted the terms and conditions of this "Agreement". As a user you must agree that Driver 1 reserve the right to modify the terms of this Agreement at any time without notice. The amended terms will be effective from the date they are posted on our website and your continued use of Driver 1 will constitute your acceptance of the amended terms.
3.2 Intended Use of the Website
Use of our website is intended only for residents of the United Kingdom, and who are capable of entering into a valid contract; by accepting this Agreement you are confirming that you uphold these requirements. If this Agreement is being accepted on behalf of an organisation or person, you must confirm that you have the authority to do so. You must not use the website:
(i) In any way that breaches any applicable local, national or international law or regulation
(ii) In any way that has an unlawful or fraudulent purpose or effect
(iii) To knowingly transmit any data, send or upload any material that contains viruses or harmful programs designed to adversely affect the operation of any computer software or hardware
(iv) To obtain details for the purposes of harassing our staff or any other illegal activity
(v) Not to reproduce, duplicate, copy or re-sell any part of the website
3.3 Arbitration and Class Action Waiver
You agree that disputes will be handled following the terms outlined in Section 11 (Disputes).
4. Buying Vehicles (inc. personal contract purchase, hire purchase or personal contract hire)
4.1 Once the customer has agreed to purchase the vehicle Driver 1 will deliver the vehicle and the necessary paperwork and V5C form to the customer.
4.2 Upon delivery,
(i) Driver 1 will present the customer with all the disclosures and notifications,
(ii) the customer and the Driver 1 representative must sign and complete all the appropriate paperwork and contract,
(iii) customer pays Driver 1 the full transaction fee of the listed car or via the appointed finance or lease hire provider.
4.3 All vehicles listed by Driver 1 will be sold with a valid MOT, unless otherwise stated.
4.4 Driver 1 may publish any third-party reports related to an individual vehicle but is in no way responsible for the reliability or accuracy of any such report.
4.5 The sale price listed on Driver1.co for any vehicle is fixed and not subject to negotiation. The prices on the website are inclusive of VAT.
4.6 A prospective customer reserves a vehicle by placing £100 deposit with Driver 1.
4.7 When the prospective customer has "reserved" the vehicle, the respective vehicle will be labelled "reserved" rendering it unavailable for purchase for any new party on Driver 1.co for:
(i) 2 Days while Driver 1 awaits confirmation of the full transaction or
(ii) an additional length of time, decided on an individual basis, at Driver 1""s sole discretion should the prospective customer (a) provide a valid reason for the payment to take longer, and (b) contact Driver 1 in reasonable time, deemed at the full discretion of Driver 1.
(iii) The reservation fee is refundable for a 2 day period immediately after it has been made by the customer. Immediately following this 2 day period the reservation fee becomes non-refundable and is used as an admin fee to process the sale.
(iv) if there is no contact over the 2 day limit or inadequate reasons for not purchasing the vehicle before the reservation fee will not be refunded and the car will be available for other customers.
4.8 Once a vehicle is reserved Driver 1 will act to
(i) Obtain the necessary documentation
(ii) Confirm the purchase price of the vehicle in question
(iii) Obtain all necessary signatures and sign all applicable documents
4.9 Should Driver 1 be unable to (i) obtain the driver logbook, (ii) obtain all necessary signatures from the seller to accomplish a transfer of title within 14 days, then Driver 1 will inform the customer by email or voicemail that the vehicle is no longer for sale the customer will have the option to choose an alternative vehicle of the same make or model or other vehicle as they wish from our website or have their deposit returned to them.
4.10 If there is no contact between Driver 1 and the customer for a 2 day period your deposit will be not refunded, and the vehicle will be available for another customer. If the car is removed by Driver 1 or is no longer available you will be entitled to a full refund or the option to choose an alternative car from our website.
4.11 Driver 1 reserves the right to change the price either before accepting any order. Once the customer has ""reserved"" the vehicle, Driver 1 shall notify you if this change affects your reserved vehicle and you have the right to cancel your order if the change is not acceptable, in which case your deposit will be returned in full.
4.12 Driver 1 may act as an intermediary between the customer and selected third party finance providers. Decisions are always made in this best interest of the customer and we uphold and treat the customer fairly policy as stated by the FCA guidelines.
4.13 Any personal information collected from you will be used purely for the purposes of administration, processing the purchase or sale of the vehicle. Please note there may be times when we use third parties, such as finance brokers. With such situations we will require any party to adhere to our strict privacy instructions. We are also entitled to track certain behaviour on Driver 1 using cookies and other devices. However this is purely for internal research, and details will not be shared.
4.14 Completion of sale occurs when
(i) Driving Licence has been received and details recorded
(ii) V5C has been signed by both parties
(iii) Delivery details confirmed
(iv) Money has been transferred
4.15 Upon acceptance of the contract the customer will be given an invoice detailing the full cost of the vehicle along with any additional charges. The customer and Driver 1 will mutually execute a contract memorialising the terms of the sale. A customer is able to pay for the vehicle by:
(i) credit card,
(ii) debit card,
(iii) bank transfer,
(iv) through a 3rd party finance company, and
(iv) any combination of the above
4.16 Terms of Payment
(i) Payment is due at the time of the contract execution completion.
(ii) All vehicles delivered to the customer are without any liens previously attached to the vehicle and come with any required notifications and disclosures.
(iii) Driver 1 will retain ownership of the goods until they have been paid for.
(iv) Terms concerning delivery are stated below.
(v) Permission must have been given if Driver 1 are to accept final payment from a third party such as a finance/leasing company.
4.17 Driver 1 may use a third-party payment processor to conduct any and all the transaction, including, but not limited to billing, compensation, and payment via the linked Driver 1 account.
4.18 The payment processing will be subject to the respective terms and conditions and privacy policies of this Agreement as well as those of the third-party payment processor. Any errors by the third-party payment processor are not the responsibility of Driver 1.
5.1 At the time of purchase the customer will be advised of the estimated delivery date, which Driver 1 will then endeavour to meet.
5.2 Driver 1 will aim to deliver the vehicle on the delivery date (if any), and will give you warning if there are any delays involved. If you experience any delays or issues you must warn Driver 1 at least 24 hours before scheduled pick up. If ""you"" cancel after the 24 hour limit and Driver 1 cannot find an easy alternative, you will be required to pay an additional delivery charge for us rearranging the new delivery.
5.3 Where delivery is delayed, Driver 1 shall, keep the customer informed at all times. If Driver 1 cannot deliver the goods at the time requested by the customer we shall endeavour to find a suitable alternative.
5.4 If you do not pay for and take delivery of your vehicle within 14 days of notification that the vehicle is available for delivery without a prior warning or explanation, Driver 1 shall be at liberty to treat the contract as annulled, thereby making the vehicle available for another customer. If we do not have any communication with you over this period you shall not be entitled for a refund on your deposit.
5.5 Driver 1 reserves the right to make a reasonable daily charge for the storage of the vehicle or vehicles which will be agreed upon before the contract is signed and all costs shown. Driver 1 make a point of no hidden all inclusive costs.
5.6 On delivery of the vehicle you will be required to sign a customer""s declaration confirming you have inspected the vehicle, it complies with the details included in the details form. If it does not match you should inform Driver 1 immediately quoting the inspection sheet and reporting the issue to the driver.
5.7 If the vehicle is rejected and the decision is agreed by Driver 1, you will be entitled to:
(i) receive a full refund
(ii) have the vehicle repaired free of charge up to the prearranged standard.
6. Money-back Guarantee
6.1 Every vehicle listed on Driver1.co comes with a 14-day money back guarantee. You are entitled to return the vehicle to Driver 1 within 14 days of delivery and receive a refund subject to the following conditions.
6.1.1 If the reason for the return of the vehicle is due to it having mechanical defects then we will firstly have the opportunity to repair these, but if a repair is not possible we will collect it free of charge and refund your payment in full and cancel your agreement at no charge to you.
6.1.2 If the reason for the return of the vehicle is due to it being materially not as stated (such as the wrong colour, engine size or transmission) then we we will collect it free of charge and refund your payment in full and cancel your agreement at no charge to you.
6.1.3 If the reason for the return of the vehicle is due to a change of mind on your behalf then we can offer you an alternative vehicle of your choice at no extra delivery cost and the deposit you have paid will be set against that vehicle instead. We will deliver the replacement vehicle and collect the unwanted vehicle at no cost to you. However, if you do not wish to exchange vehicles then the £100 deposit and delivery fees are used as admin fees including our cost of collection of the vehicle. If you simply change your mind after test driving the vehicle and would like to change to an alternative make, model, colour or spec, then we""ll be more than happy to provide you with a full refund on that vehicle so that you can proceed with an alternative vehicle of your choice through Driver1.co.
6.2 The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as it was at time of delivery and must have not exceeded a reasonable mileage for testing purpose. You are liable for any diminished value of the Goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the Goods.
(i) a "reasonable mileage for testing purpose" is 50 miles for each day that vehicle is in the customer""s possession and reaching a total of 500 miles, whichever mileage is less. The full refund offered to you will be reduced by £1 for every mile the vehicle is driven over the "reasonable mileage for testing purpose".
(ii) To the extent that the vehicle has been damaged or in an adverse state to its condition on delivery Driver 1 hold the right to refuse refund of any portion of the purchase price relating to such damage, and are entitled to reduce the refund total by the amount required to return the vehicle to its previous condition at the time of delivery to the customer.
6.3 This cancellation period will expire 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party on your behalf, takes delivery or otherwise acquires physical possession of the Goods.
6.4 In the eventuality that a customer returns their vehicle to Driver 1 you must inform us of your decision to cancel this Agreement in writing by clear statement by email to email@example.com
6.5 If you cancel this Agreement, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you under this Agreement, without undue delay, and not later than:
(i) 14 days after the day on which the we receive the Goods back; or
(ii) (if earlier) 14 days after the day you provide evidence that you have returned the Goods; or
(iii) If there were no Goods supplied, 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this Agreement, you shall not be reimbursed.
6.6 We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you have used for the initial transaction, unless agreed otherwise, but in any event you will not incur any additional fees as a result of the reimbursement.
6.7 You are required to return the vehicle and all documentation provided at time of sale, including, but not limited the registration documents (V5C) and all service records. We will require that you bear the cost of returning the Goods to us.
6.8 We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the Goods back.
6.9 For returning the goods we will pick the vehicle up from you free of charge.
6.10 Driver 1 will determine any reduction in the total refund, in its sole discretion and Driver 1 will prove in accounting to the customer that reflects the amount and reason of any deductions. Following a refund to the customer by Driver 1, as an owner of the vehicle, Driver 1 is able to list the vehicle for sale on Driver1.co
6.11 This is a money back guarantee only. Whilst the customer may return the vehicle, Driver 1 does not offer any partial refunds and does not renegotiate the purchase price of the vehicle for any reason.
